It may be out of the way—just north of the Downsview air force base—but Mayfair West has developed a loyal following over the past 35-plus years. Regulars make the trek for its superior facilities: three international squash courts, 12 indoor championship tennis courts, a five-lane pool, a toddler pool, whirlpools, a pro shop and a babysitting service. The workout equipment is equally impressive: the cardio theatre houses 50 machines (equipped with individual TV screens), plus an array of new Life Fitness circuit machines.
