Founded more than 80 years ago by shuttlecock enthusiasts, the club offers four badminton courts (one for doubles), four Har-Tru tennis courts (bubbled in winter) and four international singles’ squash courts. There are also two courts for “platform tennis,” a rare hybrid of squash and tennis. Renos completed in 2006 doubled the size of the fitness centre to 4,000 square feet, and added a Wellness Centre and fitness studio. To join, you must be sponsored by two current members.
How much:
initiation fee $4,500–$9,200, annual fee $1,880, one-year introductory membership $1,000, sports fee (for use of facilities) $540 per year.
