Family change rooms, child-minding services, and classes for kids interested in karate, swimming, badminton, soccer and basketball attract sports-minded moms and dads, and their progeny. Squash courts, dozens of group exercise classes, an indoor running track, an 8,000-square-foot gym, and two pools—one a hydraulic lift training pool for the elderly and the very young, the other a 25-metre lap pool—offer members every imaginable means of getting in shape. The upgraded membership permits access to a private exercise room, lounge area, whirlpool, sauna and steam room. Memberships are valid at YMCA clubs across North America.
