Power-brokers and CEOs strip down to their spandex at this monolithic fitness centre in the depths of First Canadian Place that has just completed a $2-million renovation. Separate men’s and women’s workout zones and two sizable weight training areas are filled with more than 200 cardio and weight resistance machines, as well as 75-plus sets of free weights—ensuring that lineups are rare. Equipment is constantly upgraded, with no piece more than two years old. Of the 100-plus classes offered, spinning, yoga for runners, hip hop, Pilates and hatha yoga are among the most popular. Club amenities include access to the Hilton hotel pool, a lounge with a billiards table (and Guinness on tap!), squash courts, and impeccably clean change areas.
How much:
initiation fee $300, monthly fee $69–$110.
