Back in the 1940s, this Forest Hill studio was probably someone’s apartment: the feeling is cozy, intimate. Clients train one-on-one in the main studio, or in groups of no more than 30 in a small cardio room one floor below. Either way, the vibe is upscale—white walls, original art—but relaxed. Classes veer toward the high energy: spinning, boxing, Track Attack (a combo of spinning and weights), boot camp. Training (by owner Larry Track and his colleagues) suits everyone from mild-mannered grandmothers to competitive racers to couch potatoes.
How much:
no initiation fee, monthly fee $175; class packages available.
