Fitness & WellnessGyms: Boutique

Stretch Fitness Boutique

This small, inviting space (crystal chandeliers, exposed brick, hardwood floors) specializes in individual instruction—an ideal motivator if you’re having trouble getting back to the gym. Skilled private trainers offer personalized workout sessions; for those seeking a little less personal attention, group classes cover everything from Rock Star Boot Camp to yoga to N.Y. Style Ballet. Plus Stretch offers state-of-the-art equipment unavailable elsewhere in the city: a NordicTrack treadmill reaches an incline level of 50 (most don’t go higher than 20), so you actually feel as if you’re climbing up a mountain. And, best of all, treadmills face outward, providing a perfect view of the new ROM building across the street. During the warmer months, sliding windows are opened up, so you can almost reach out and touch the Crystal. The changing area is small, but well maintained.

How much:
five classes $75, unlimited classes $60 per month.
