With its bare-bones decor and grim Queen East location, this Leslieville shop is the last place you’d expect to find high fashion. But for those in the know, this purveyor of “gently loved” designer clothing is an essential destination. “We carry everything from ’60s Courrèges to ’96 Chanel to 2007 Gucci and Prada,” says co-owner Mireille Watson, who sources most of her stock directly from Europe and the U.S. In addition to vintage pieces, lucky shoppers may also find newer wares (many never worn), such as a yellow Fendi dress circa 2005 ($235) or a 2007 Phillip Lim coat ($275). The best treasures, however, are kept in a back room and revealed upon request—a silk Prada pencil skirt from the late ’90s ($115) and never-worn Chloé silk suits in light grey and white ($275–$325). Also spotted: a Hermès sweater and a Jil Sander grey wool and cashmere suit. Accessories are equally mind-blowing.
