A Kensington fixture since 1975, this bohemian haven continues to be a reliable source of cheap, quirky, eye-catching fashion: vintage tie-dyed slips ($12–$18); 1950s sunglasses ($12–$40); reworked cashmere sweaters ($30–$35); thick, brightly coloured men’s silk scarves ($15); and vintage cufflinks ($6). The shop’s owners make regular buying trips to such far-flung locales as Mexico, Thailand and Bali, ensuring a steady stream of colourful jewellery, and batik and ikat fabrics.
