Buying a bra here isn’t about spending lots of money. It’s about spending lots of money well. Before you even look at the store’s stock of classy European bras, you’ll be given a fitting by the owner or one of her staff, who go through a year-long apprenticeship in the lost art of lingerie salesmanship. The store carries upscale, comfortable European labels (Marie Jo, Prima Donna, Christies, La Perla, all from $99). For women in need of less support, the Huit collection has bras starting around $89. You’ll also find satin and leather slippers ($120–$179), featherweight hose ($19–$125), and pastel silk-viscose camis ($89–$575).
