Anyone who’s ever felt the post-Brazilian burn should check out this aesthetics boutique tucked away in a Danforth townhouse. The specialty here is body sugaring—an ancient all-natural Middle Eastern method—which removes hair with an all-natural sugar, lemon juice and water paste that’s applied at room temperature and doesn’t adhere to the skin. The surprisingly painless process is great for delicate skin; prices range from $10 for the upper lip to $140 for full body plus Brazilian. A full-service spa, Sugar Moon also offers up other indulgences, such as a signature salt and mud wrap ($95), couples’ massages (from $170), and rooftop manis (from $25) and pedis (from $42) in summer.
