Having recently taken over the long-time Estée Lauder Spa, Holt’s has overhauled all the products and services. The hair salon sits on one side, with windows overlooking Bloor Street and the coconutty scent of Bumble and Bumble products in the air. Women’s cuts range from $50 to $90; in addition to glosses and colour, full-foil highlights run between $150 and $220. On the other side is the spa, where high-end B. Kamins and SkinCeuticals are the products of choice. Pick from an exhaustive menu of 25- to 55-minute facials (with special ones for men and teens) and top up with such à la carte add-ons as glycolic peels and collagen injections. A hot lava mud manicure ($50) isn’t something you’d get at your average nail bar; those who think their tootsies are too hideous to be seen in open-toed shoes should try the Intense Callus Pedicure ($75).
