The salon itself—all shiny metal, mirrors, and narrow, winding staircases—could use an update. It has, after all, been 40 years since the legendary English master established his Toronto outpost. However, the mega-brand he created remains an epicentre of fashionable hair. Cuts (from $70) are technically precise and exacting. Colour starts at $68.
