Heeding customers’ requests, wholesaler Lorents opened this outlet in 1995. It may be retail, but they’ve kept wholesale prices for Italian, French and North American classic womenswear. Sweaters are knit up in la bella Italia. Three-quarter-length-sleeve styles in viscose (which, contrary to popular belief, is a natural fibre and machine washable) are scooped up armfuls at a time in a half-dozen colours. Some items show Continental flash with zippers and rhinestones. Sales staff point out the fine detailing on the suits, like on taupe and black tweed numbers for $420. Make like Catherine Deneuve and toss a silk scarf over your ensemble.
