A recent import, this cheap ’n’ chic American chain specializes in knocking off the best of pricey runway fashion. Long a staple for style-conscious bargain hunters stateside, the new Toronto outpost bursts with bright summer frocks ($13–$40), barely there bottoms, fashionable footwear ($13–$35) and a dizzying selection of silver and gold costume jewellery. It’s the perfect place to indulge in a trend that you might not see next season. Unlike neighbouring H&M, Forever 21 doesn’t carry a children’s collection—which is OK, because when navigating this garment jungle, it’s best to leave the family at home.
