The signature look of Alexia von Beck, a German-Chilean designer, conjures a kind of urban safari. Central to this tableau is a statuesque woman confidently striding in flat sandals, wearing neutral-toned wool pants ($169) or a long skirt ($259–$289), and a wool shawl ($89–$160) wrapped over chunky silver Indian or Moroccan jewellery. The most alluring pieces are the floor-length coats ($450–$750), with high, cape-like collars done in silk embroidery or textured boiled wool ($325).
