Expect to part with some serious coin at Linda Perisa’s two-year-old shop, a converted Victorian townhouse–cum–retail space. The trade-off: looks worthy of The Sartorialist and thousands saved by not schlepping to Europe for such fashion-forward threads. Perisa is considered one of Toronto’s buyers par excellence; she had the foresight to bring Ann Demeulemeester to Canada long before people could pronounce her name. Footwear and accessories from YSL, Lanvin and Alexander McQueen occupy the first half of the store; an impressive selection of Rick Owens, Dries Van Noten, Haider Ackermann and Stella McCartney beckons from the back. Look for men’s clothing to fill the second floor this fall.
