A carnival of chic Brazilian labels fills this Forest Hill boutique, where the atmosphere is so laid back you can almost feel the sand between your toes. It’s no surprise that they sell string bikinis, Rio’s claim to fashion fame; the best one (by Reeva) has been whipped up out of peppermint stripes ($129). If you don’t want to bare all on the Copacabana, streetwear includes denim ($240–$289) by the exclusive Ellus label and walking shoes by U.K. brand Tsubo. At dusk, go for casual glam in Reeva’s silk gown ($489), ruched and falling to the floor in tiers. Or sashay down the boardwalk in a cotton skirt ($199) by Vicio, tasselled and softly pleated. Wear it with a Nathalis blue knit camisole ($198), trimmed with ribbon bands, paired with beaded sandals and a shell necklace made from coconuts ($24)—and you’ll be ready to samba.
