Next to Nicolas Kalatzis’s expansive men’s boutique is a women’s annex, where two long walls boast high-end attire. Clothes horses flock to the offbeat oeuvre of Paul Smith, where ladies’ suits (from $1,400) and shirts (from $350) show off exuberant colour accents. Then there’s Antonio Marras for Kenzo (suits from $1,200), who is incredibly skilled in fabrication. Marithe & François Girbaud is another line that defies mainstream tastes, with its edgy, embellished pieces. The store channels an eccentric Euro style, carrying such items as fun footwear from Kenzo, black Gunex pants ($695), and cashmere zip hoodies from Italian label Rivamonti.
