In the fashion world, plus size means “special interest.” At Commesse, it means sensible, gorgeous clothes. Though the shop is spartan, the collection is well rounded: these are duds for the club, the living room and the boardroom. Feminine pieces include billowy silk blouses and skirts ($129–$150) and a Point Zero linen pant ($79). Most of the clothes, however, come from such smaller labels as Vancouver’s Togs, which does edgy silkscreened Ts ($65–$75) featuring details like faux wraps, ruching and prints.
