The St. Regis Room, the city’s first luxury shop (established in the 1930s), introduced us to Balenciaga, Givenchy and Schiaparelli. But the jewel of the Bay empire has lost its lustre over the years. Bonnie Brooks, The Bay’s new CEO, has resurrected it. The space has undergone an extensive gut job (courtesy of Yabu Pushelberg) and is the only Canadian source for Proenza Schouler, Halston and Balmain.
