Founded in 1961, this was one of Canada’s signature fashion houses, known for tweedy tailoring, twin-sets and moderate prices. In the early ’90s, after running glamorous ad campaigns with Kate Moss, Ports became a prestige label on par with Chanel and Prada. The Bloor Street outpost sells chi-chi clothes—designed by creative director Tia Cibani—that embrace an eclectic lifestyle and reflect a global aesthetic. Beautiful cashmere sweaters go for $500, and tailored suits and classic coats for $1,000-plus.
