No bigger than a walk-in closet, this “gentlemen’s resale boutique,” which opened in June 2007, stuffs a lot of bargains into its pint-sized space. Owner Meirav Livne-Bar, a trained milliner, has four simple rules for her consignment garments: they must be clean and in excellent shape; they must have resale value; she needs to have room for them; and, most important, she has to like them. This mandate leads to an eclectic—and extremely affordable—selection of basics for men. On one day, a handsome Dolce and Gabbana suit was $650 (down from $3,000), brand new Burberry trousers were $80, an unworn leather Roots jacket was $150, relaxed-fit jeans from the Gap were $20, and a classic pair of brown-and-blue Marc Jacobs wellies were $150.
