Wit runs wild at GreenShag, where owners Victoria and Neil McPhedran sew some of the city’s best and boldest men’s styles. Suits combine Savile Row tailoring with a 1970s flavour: the McPhedrans source vintage fabric for their accessories and find fabrics at old tailor shops. Suits are custom-made and tailored in-house ($1,600 for two-piece suit; $1,850 for a three-piece). Bespoke shirts ($260) feature such devilish details as French cuffs lined with little “cheat sheets” listing fine red wines or Stanley Cup champions. Cufflinks are a specialty and come in a slew of styles. Don Cherry, not surprisingly, has been known to sport the shop’s signature Hockey Night in Canada model ($100).
