Like most European boutiques, Psyche stocks a bit of everything: casual, business and eveningwear. Its aesthetic changes with the seasons; the colder months see suits and dresses from Vancouver label Tension. Owner Dorine Protas says frocks are a favourite, as well as knitwear from Toronto label Line and Italy’s Twin-Set. General trends are feminine and sophisticated, such as perfectly tailored suits ($400–$800) and affordable cocktail dresses (up to $600) that “deliver polished looks without breaking the bank.”
