Run by Jaclyn Genovese in concert with her parents and brother, newly opened Jacflash is intended as a multi-generational shopping experience where teens and their parents can browse side by side. To that end, you’ll find such lines as Alice & Olivia, known for both perfectly fitting pants and flirty cocktail dresses (as seen on Blair, Serena et al. on Gossip Girl); Social Atelier, makers of politically sloganed Ts (“No One Wins in War,” for example); cashmere-blend wide-legged jeans from Mynk; and nicely fitting basics from Transit and Young, and Fabulous and Broke. Finish off your look with Modern Vintage pumps, which combine classic shapes with current colours and details. Also watch for funky Kanye-style ’80s shades from Retrosuperfuture ($120–$170). For men, find classic, uniform-style shirts with epaulets from Public School, and tough but sophisticated leather jackets and vests from The Cast.
