In August 2006, George and Lisa Corbo (formerly of the Bloor Street namesake) set up shop in a three-level Victorian off the Yorkville strip. Sleek design details are a signature, whether in a pair of Etro shoes ($800) or a Zagliani handbag in metallic gold python skin ($3,500). Featured labels may be unknown to all but the couture cognoscenti: Peter Som (from $450) and Derek Lam (trousers, $1,800) are America’s latest talents; Francesco Scognamiglio (from $750), Neil Barrett ($295), Yohji Yamamoto, Costume National (from $250) and Antonio Marras leather jackets (from $350) represent the vanguard of international design.
