The store may be getting a top-to-bottom renovation (for the first part of the year, it can be found in temporary digs at 144 Bloor Street West), but devotees can still rely on Cole Haan for shoes, bags and coats that smack of country club elegance. While well-made loafers and driving shoes for men, women and children remain classics, the seasonal footwear, handbags and accessories are two steps fashion forward, one step back to basics—in other words, chic but still exceptionally comfortable. A little-known fact: Cole Haan is owned by Nike, which explains why many of the shoes feature signature Air technology.
