Australian Boot Company

As tough as the Australian outdoors, this store’s stock-in-trade, the ubiquitous Blundstone boot, looks completely at home on urban Canadian streets. Weatherproof and soled in lightweight polyurethane, the cozy Blunnies do snow and slush well. The elegant original is still the best-seller, but the chisel-toe dresses up real nice; the ultra-comfortable chunk sole is good for working, camping and anything else that requires a lot of standing. Unisex by design, the boot comes in sizes ranging from women’s 6 to men’s 14, and a small array of colours, including black, brown, moss and olive suede. Made of lightweight merino wool, New Zealand’s Icebreaker T-shirts ($70–$90), baseball-style shirts ($180–$190) and outerwear ($160–$400) layer well and resist temperature fluctuations.
