The most popular shades at this hipster hangout include the avant-garde shapes of fashion pioneer Alain Mikli ($500–$850), the funky French frames of Face à Face ($350–$520) and the sleek techno-minimalist designs of Ic! Berlin ($435–$485), with their stainless steel frames and remarkable screwless hinges. The three-store operation offers more than 1,300 styles, including vintage frames and some 20-odd brands of sunglasses, such as Chanel, Chrome Hearts and Oliver Goldsmith ($370–$400), the last of which is famous for having been worn by Audrey Hepburn. At the Queen Street location, prescriptions (with lenses by Essilor, Nikon and Zeiss) are filled on-site and an optometrist does eye exams.
