The Josephson chain is known for carrying innovative and modish designs, and this, its flagship store in the heart of Yorkville, delivers. This store’s eye-catching silver leaf and marble exterior was shaped by Jay Hodgins, formerly of Gluckstein Design, and its walls of frames include a number of high-end lines (you can even score a pair of solid-gold Cartiers for a cool $3,800). Celebrities, make-over shows and fashion mags come calling, but so do regular folks, as there are good deals to be had: frames start at a reasonable $275, and average about $450. Names like Alain Mikli and Philippe Starck are popular.
