Monique Centeno did much more than bring pretty Parisian jewellery to Toronto when she opened Fabrice over 34 years ago. She channelled an attitude, one in which bijoux, from sweet trinkets to substantial baubles, speak as much to a woman’s sense of style as her clothing does. To this end, anything goes—though she still curates with a scrupulous eye. There are disc pendants, earrings and charm bracelets; intricate pieces from Gas Bijoux ($95–$385) are quickly swept up by those who coveted them in the pages of InStyle. On a recent visit to Paris, Centeno found red coral necklaces and earrings ($175), and glitzy 1920s platinum and diamond watches ($8,500–$9,500).
