“Same view as Canoe, maybe even a little better,” says chef-manager David Ross, formerly of Splendido and Auberge du Pommier. Located on the 36th floor of the southernmost tower of TD Waterhouse Tower, the room (decorated with new banquettes and chairs, and wood pillars covered in orange, yellow and red glass tiles) looks out over the Royal York Hotel and the Toronto Islands. On a clear day, you can even see Buffalo. It’s a tad small for a grand wedding (it holds up to 80 for dinner, 150 for cocktails), but it comes with a dance floor and a very reasonable price tag.
How much:
main room $325 (plus food and drink); for lunch, the 16-seat boardroom is free with minimum $350 food bill
Catering:
in-house; rates vary
