Built in 1929 and restored in 1999, the former railway roundhouse offers a couple of rugged, loft-like spaces for special events, both with huge banks of large, factory-style paned windows. A 2,000-square-foot gallery looks onto the brew tanks and functions during the day as the brewery’s retail space. It seats 80 (or 250 standing) and can be used alone or in conjunction with the larger hall. The latter seats 250 (or 500 standing) and features 30-foot ceilings, hand-hewn wood beams, exposed brick walls and enormous doors that open onto a 4,000-square-foot patio. The patio doors are huge—big enough to accommodate the trains that once ran this way—and so, too, is the view, of the northern Toronto skyline, including the neighbouring Rogers Centre and CN Tower.
