Arthur Erickson’s pavilion by a pond is best known as a classical concert venue, but the sparkling glass and steel structure is also suitable for glam get-togethers. With its neutral palette and suave circular shape, the lobby is tasteful and elegant; the north court patio, complete with reflecting pool and indigenous flora, is one of Toronto’s hidden gems. The auditorium can sometimes be booked years in advance, but it’s big and pricey; smaller rooms are available on shorter notice.
How much:
smaller rooms $450–$550 each; Studio (formerly the Rehearsal Hall) $450–$750; patio $2,000; lobby $3,200; auditorium $11,000
Catering:
choose from five approved caterers; dinner $85–$300 per person
