The Willard Room at the InterContinental, redone in 2004, is understated—but the potential to make it spectacular is limitless. Whether the event is a wedding or a conference, guests (250 for cocktails, 165 for dinner) have access to the marble foyer, while a connecting banquet kitchen ensures the dinner service doesn’t get slowed by room service orders. Various rooms have windows overlooking Bloor Street West (and the ROM’s Crystal) or the luxurious SkyLounge outdoor patio, which can also be booked for parties (until October). Conservatory Rooms on the seventh floor and a terrace (which holds up to 40 people) adjacent to the pool on the eighth bring the total function space to 8,000 square feet. The hotel features a baby grand piano on the banquet floor and can set up a dance floor on request, but getting guests to boogie is the responsibility of the host.
How much:
$500–$2,000
Catering:
in-house, four-course dinner from $65 per person (plus tax and gratuity)
