Coveted by film crews, this restored mansion is a showcase for marble and ebony fireplaces, oak and walnut flooring, and mahogany panelling. There are four private rooms to rent; the largest—the Morning and Drawing Room (64 for dinner)—features a 13-foot ceiling, bay windows and crystal chandeliers. It can be booked along with the Coulson Room (dark wood panelling, stained glass light fixtures and a portico overlooking a small garden) to hold a total of 90 standing guests. For smaller fêtes, the Nelson Room (space for 14 seated) and Servant’s Hall (seats eight) glow with period charm.
