The second-floor Regency Ballroom remains the haute hotel setting for glamorous soirées, from a decadent wedding to a Vegas-themed bar mitzvah (you can also book the charming library-style Print Room, located off the foyer of the ballroom). But there are plenty of other spaces available, all equally refined: Windsor, Tudor, Sussex and Cornwall are some of the Brit-inspired reception rooms on the third floor; the views from the 32nd-floor Windows Rooms are guaranteed to impress. Carving stations (entrées include venison Wellington and cedar-plank salmon), elegant buffets, four-course dinners, sweet tables, and A-list recommendations for outsourcing entertainment and photography mean that a four-star party is guaranteed.

How much:
Regency Ballroom $2,500–$7,500; third-floor rooms from $300 each; Windows rooms $750 each
Catering:
in-house; three-course meal $60–$70 per person, four-course meal $70–$85
