With its towers, turrets and 98 rooms, the E. J. Lennox–designed castle is the perfect setting for a fairy-tale wedding. The Great Hall has a knights-of-old feel, with a suit of armour on the wall, a 40-foot bay window, the largest pipe organ in Canada (formerly of Maple Leaf Gardens) and 60-foot timbered cathedral ceilings. The library, where folks most often hold their sit-down dinners, is a baronial fantasy, with a herringbone-patterned oak floor, leaded-glass bookcases and an elaborate plaster ceiling ornamented with the motto and coat of arms of the castle’s first owner, hydro magnate Sir Henry Pellatt. A 12-foot bronze door leads to a marble-floored conservatory with an enormous stained glass dome—perfect for pictures.
