Built in the 1950s, the red-brick clubhouse still has a bit of a retro vibe (especially in the lobby, where pictures from the club’s 135-year existence adorn the walls), but its major selling point is, of course, its lakeside location. The Henley Room (seats 200) looks out through double French doors onto the docks, the lake, the breakwater, and a 75-foot patio that runs the length of the room. In summer you can watch the rowers; in winter, it’s as quiet and serene as a northern wilderness. Wheelchair accessible, free parking.
