A favourite of brides on a budget, this shop has a reputation for creative designs at reasonable prices. Owner John Schell always tests himself by asking, “What would I pay for this bouquet?” And he stays on top of the trends: in keeping with the current craze for chartreuse, Garden’s Path stocks shamrock chrysanthemums and green envy zinnias. But, in general, the stock changes with the seasons: in fall, such rich, jewel-toned flowers as rosehips and amaryllis are dominant; in spring, lilac, tulips and hyacinths fill the shop. European hand-tied bouquets are a GP specialty: lush flowers bound with raffia might feature dogwood branches, B.C. cedar or pomegranates.
