After 25 years in the flower business, Brad Currie will do special events for long-time clients, but it’s ixnay on the walk-in brides, whom he maintains are worse than anything on Bridezillas. A veteran of corporate events, Currie does interior consultations, fluffs homes for resale, and delivers weekly shipments of flowers to established clients who know and trust his signature style—a rich Renaissance look that allows each flower to be seen. Nothing too pretty or wild; jewel tones and oversized blooms of hydrangeas, fresh Ecuadorean roses and dahlias give his arrangements zip (from $75, large standards from $300).
