Though Bill Fulghum hasn’t worked on Church Street for almost a decade—his 4,200-square-foot design studio is now located in a condo-loft on Dundas East—he’s not going to change the name. His work for the Brazilian Ball, Pencer Brain Trust and other big charity events has established a brand he’s not about to dilute. Fulghum is what you might call a full-service florist. If you like, he will conceive and co-ordinate every aesthetic aspect of a special event, from the linens to the lighting. Flower arrangements (table versions from $100, bridal bouquets from $150) tend to be modern but lush: a wedding canopy might consist of garlands of white and green orchids; a centrepiece could incorporate a suspended Lucite chandelier with a variety of stylized flowers beneath.
