In business since 1984, Urban Source covers the gamut, from chic cocktail parties and small dinners to full-on fabulous weddings (they specialize in corporate and large events). At a past poolside party, miniature portobello burgers topped with caramelized onion were served as a meat-free alternative to grilled lamb chops flavoured with rosemary and garlic. For a sit-down dinner, a typical menu might start with slices of poached lobster tail garnished with champagne zabaglione or golden caviar; followed by basil-stuffed Atlantic salmon wrapped in leeks served with concassé of field tomatoes; and rounded off by chocolate tuiles and crème anglaise. The company covers a large territory; Urban Source is often hired to cater events in cottage country.
