Out of their cozy bistro kitchen, co-owners John de Sereville and chefs Trin Tran and Olive Dunn cater parties up to 80, serving delicious pan-Mediterranean meals at backyard barbecues, weddings and anniversaries. An emphasis is placed on local, organic ingredients. Vegetarian menus are a specialty, with popular items including potato lasagna made with goat cheese and portobellos. House-made flatbread and dips, such as zeilook (a Moroccan eggplant purée), make perfect appetizers. For smaller sit-down dinners, mains impressively arrive at the table in colourful authentic Moroccan tajines. Choices—all served atop couscous—include chicken in a roasted almond and tomato sauce, lamb stewed in 30 spices, or seasonal vegetables in charmoula sauce (roasted garlic, coriander and raisins). Homemade sorbets, ice creams and pastries are divine. .
