Run by Tony Loschiavo, who owns the popular north Toronto restaurant Paese, L-Eat has good crowd-pleasing credentials. No detail is overlooked, whether it’s for an intimate in-home cocktail party, an elaborate multi-course dinner or a wedding celebration for hundreds. L-Eat prepares customized menus for every client and will arrange specialty linens, entertainment and sommelier services, along with glass, china, table and chair rentals. Hors d’oeuvre might be Vietnamese salad rolls with peanut dipping sauce, or smoked Pacific salmon with Bermuda onions and wasabi cream. Grilled salmon brushed with maple syrup may appear as a main course. Sweet endings include fresh fruit flans, chocolate marquise and chef Patrice’s famous shortbread cookies.
