Creative director Dee Gibson, who is also a regular on CityLine, approaches food, decor and venue holistically. Custom is the name of the game: party planners, chefs and stylists work together to design truly unique events. At a winter-themed party for iTravel, a manufactured snowstorm blew flurries in 32-degree heat, and guests feasted on such northern delicacies as venison crostini with chestnut, Arctic char with truffle purée, candy cane profiteroles and icewine martinis. Here, a cocktail-style wedding reception is no poor cousin of the sit-down dinner: decked out with hundreds of candles, dreamy floral arrangements and lounge seating in place of banquet tables, an art gallery becomes a romantic private club, complete with glamorous cigarette girls bearing trays of impossibly elegant desserts.
