The name lives up to its glittery promise. Couture Cuisine pairs star chef Arpi Magyar (formerly of Splendido and Auberge du Pommier fame) with an equally formidable team of specialists—a sommelier, stylist, planner and interior designer. The house caterer for swish Graydon Hall, CC also handles off-site functions (working with little-known boutique venues and art galleries). Though each party is customized, the company can provide starting points: one winter feast begins with cauliflower soup with veal meatballs, followed by squash ravioli, a main course of rack of venison with juniper-rubbed potato croquettes and steamed chestnuts, completed by a dessert of caramelized quince with Tahitian vanilla ice cream. Stylish rental supplies might include sleek leather couches and Persian carpets. At a recent black-themed soirée, everything from the stemware to the table lamps were sourced in shades of noir.
How much:
cocktails from $40 per person, sit-down dinner from $60; plus wait staff, chef’s charges and rentals
