As the name suggests, Board Room’s sophisticated business lunches are popular with Bay Street BlackBerry owners. On the midday menu, savoury Asian waffle cones served in bamboo boats can be filled with Peking duck or Thai pickled celery–and–mango slaw. At cocktail parties held in corporate lobbies, suits nibble on crostini topped with lobster and saffron mayonnaise; robust dinners might feature New Zealand lamb with pan-seared leeks in a sun-dried tomato and rosemary sauce. A breakfast of apple-cinnamon French toast with whipped cream is a decadent addition to morning meetings.
