The interior of this bakery resembles a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory fantasy world. There are huge pots of burbling caramel and butterscotch, hundreds of cheesecakes fresh from the oven (popular flavours include pralines and cream, and butterscotch brownie), and fridges brimming with fresh raspberries, apples, rhubarb and peaches for pies and crumbles. Sisters Esther Kravice and Mary Somerton—who baked their first chocolate pecan pies 30 years ago—run the show. Their sweets come in more than 50 flavours, from chocolate-raspberry flan to key lime pie.
When:
M–F 9–5:30, Sa 10–2
How much:
Cakes from $36, pies $17-$20.
