Until further notice, this may be the coolest place in the city for top-notch live shows and late night dance parties. Since its February 2008 debut, Wrongbar has attracted an endless lineup of awesome performers—Crystal Castles, Kid Sister and the Cool Kids have all rocked their hearts out on this stage—and quality DJs. Which is probably why Queen Street coolies can’t get enough of it. Well that and the top of the line Funktion One sound system, a local anomaly that ensures revellers get clubland-quality sound without having to set a high-topped sneaker into the John and Richmond area. Co-owners Nav Sangha (DJ Nasty Nav) and Chris Harper profess to be music geeks, but there’s nothing nerdy about their new venue.
